The thing is that sometimes the windows are too small to hang curtains in the middle - it will take away too much daylight. So how can we decide what method, or rather what location, we should use to make the slanted curtains look amazing?

The two most popular ways of hanging curtains on diagonals
The most frequently used and at the same time the most effective way of hanging a curtain diagonally is the "higher side" method. What does it mean? We hang the curtains on the higher edge of the upper slope. This gives an amazing effect and is functional at the same time. After sliding, the curtain does not rest on the floor and therefore does not collect dust or crease. This is a solution that we recommend wherever functionality is more important than decorativeness or other existing conditions.
The second most popular way to hang a curtain diagonally is "inwards". The idea is to "park" the curtains in the middle of the curtain rod. This is an aesthetic and good solution when we have a double slant, but not everywhere the aesthetic benefit will outweigh the aesthetics of what we have outside the window. This was the case with our project in Tricity - the view of the beautiful garden would be reduced by over a meter, which would adversely affect the interior design.

There is a third, less popular solution, i.e. curtains "at the lower end of the curtain rod". There are few cases when it is worth choosing this solution, but it may be influenced by, for example, the interior design.

Which diagonal curtain rod should I choose?
We should choose a diagonal curtain rod carefully - regardless of whether we hang curtains or curtains on diagonal. Not all attic curtain rods will pass the test. That's why we have prepared this guide - to dispel doubts. Well, such a window is often quite difficult to decorate, but there are ways to do it. For example, the solution we often use is simply a ceiling rail, which gives us room to maneuver. On the one hand, we can cut it to size, and on the other hand, we can lock the mounted "frogs" at the top, which will allow the curtains to be held freely and well. But what if we want to be able to move the curtain?
Then we firmly say - "electric curtain rod". This solution has many features that will allow you to easily manipulate curtains and drapes. The ability to control, for example, a smartphone will be especially useful when the window is high. The use of an electric curtain rod solves many issues, but it also has its disadvantages. This solution is slightly more expensive. But the price is one thing, and the decorative and functional values allow us to tolerate the fact that it costs a few pennies more. Therefore, if you are looking for a solution like diagonal curtain rods, please consider the electric version.
Slanted curtains - price?
The price of this solution does not differ much from the price of an ordinary electric curtain rod of this length. Installation is imperceptibly more expensive because more fasteners are needed to properly distribute the load, but this is cosmetic. The curtains themselves are about 30% more expensive. Sewing curtains on diagonal results in significant loss of material, which is why their price is higher. This solution, although effective, is not as expensive as it may seem.
What fabrics for diagonal curtains?
First of all, they are soft. Because we often use the solution visible in the photos. Often, what is hidden behind a sloping window is so attractive that we do not want to cover it.
